m-ch 026 at lake zurich, switzerland

The micro compact home 026 has recently been installed on a beautifully landscaped garden site at Erlenbach overlooking Lake Zurich Switzerland. The new micro home is all electric with controlled air conditioning for the bed space and precise monitoring of energy use on a daily basis. The colour chosen by the owner is a recessive tone with a slight golden hue to blend with the dark evergreen landscape and rock garden. The home is used as a guest room and as a study space. Similar to a Japanese Tea House it is also used for quiet contemplation with a view towards Mount Rigi with the Lake in the foreground.

A mountain stream runs close by and cowbells can be heard which adds to the calm Swiss life and quality. A 'pillow window' has been introduced to enable lake views from the first level bed space.

It is possible to visit the house, which is close to the famous Pflugstein and Pflugsteinstrasse Restaurant.
